Derek is working inside a custom-built voice booth crafted with solid oak and pine, organic cotton fiber batting, mass loaded vinyl, SSP green tape, staggered studs, 2” thick foam padding, and hypo-allergenic carpeting.
On the technical side, he’s using a Rode NT1a microphone in combination with the classic Symmetrix 528 processor, and an Alesis Multimix12 Firewire mixer. His recording and editing software of choice is Audition 3.0.
